I’m tired and a bit sad, but most of all I’m blessed. The past two and a half weeks have been nothing short of amazing. CS3 and Pink Forest Films have put together what many would call impossible. A super tight late August production in Miami? With a five person crew? Broken air conditioning? Flammable cars? Hurricane Issac? Why? How? No sleep ’til Brooklyn was the name of the game. “Colada’s are here” was the other name.
The ATW team was a nightmare-A DREAM to work with. Who wouldn’t want Juan Camilo Barriga (DP extraordinaire) to redirect your lovemaking scenes? Who wouldn’t want Nelson Moncada (AC killa) to keep you sharp while he internally panics from his wedding planning? Who wouldn’t want Alex Martinez (AD monster) to keep things on schedule with a bottle of Jameson? And who in their right mind wouldn’t want Kyle & Thor (Sound superstars of my new hit reality show coming soon) to grab audio while I grab Kyle? It was a dream team, I tell you. A real dream team. Not some silly basketball players in ’92. I’m talking real players like Kandis “Wawawewa” Erickson, stepping up her game to seduce my face with a little shake and bake. I’m talking true players like Edy “Wawawewa Part 2″ Ganem, running the point and taking control of my life with a dangerous crossover. I’m talking rookie of the year awards to likes of David Wichner and Carol Crisafi, penetrating the paint and dishing alley-oops all night. Dream team, baby. Dream Team.
But all basketball jargon aside, I really enjoyed every minute of making this film as well as all the new friendships I’ve created along the way. I have nothing but love and gratitude for every person who helped us start and finish this fantastic production. This unique experience will forever be remembered dear to me. It may have been an extremely daunting task for Claudia, Lisa and Karina, but these beauties are destined for greatness in art. “BOOMshakalaka!” “I’m wide awake!”
